The rules are applicable to all students of Khalid Mahmood Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Sialkot.

  • The code applies to the on campus and off campus conduct of all registered students in connection with; a. Their academic course requirement and any activity supporting pursuit of a degree such as research at another institution or a professional practice assignment.
  • Any activity sponsored, conducted or authorized by the KIMS.
  • Students continue to be subject to the state laws while at the KIMS and violation of those laws may also constitute violation of the Code. In such instances, the college may proceed with college disciplinary action under the Code independently of any criminal proceeding involving the same conduct and may impose sanctions for the violation of the Code even if such criminal proceeding is not yet resolved or is resolved in favour of the students.
  • Any activity of students causing destruction of property belonging to the College or members of the College Community or threatening harm to the safety or security of the members of the College Community.
  • Any activity in which a police report has been filed, a summons or indictment issued or an arrest has occurred for a crime or violation of law.

The students are required to refrain from their involvement in:

  1. Any act or behavior that threatens other students, faculty or staff members;
  2. Any disruption of normal instructions and training in the College, cheating in the examinations I tests and disruption of normal operation or the other essential functions of the College;
  3. Raising funds, accepting donations or engaging in similar activities for and on behalf of the College without a prior written approval of the College,
  4. Smoking, eating, drinking where prohibited in settings of the College,
  5. Procurement, possession, use, sale or display of any real or replica weapon, including firearms or any other contraband items at campus or at KIMS events,
  6. Attendance on campus or at College-related events in an intoxicated state or under the influence of drugs or any banned substances,
  7. Any act of violence causing injury or damage to any person or property at the College,
  8. Providing wrong information, giving false and / or fabricated evidence, deliberately concealing material facts or information to the College in any proceedings and inquiries carried out at any forum by the College.
  9. Involvement in any act of deceit, fraud, forgery with the College, students, staff or faculty,
  10. Any unauthorized assembly and function;
  11. Fighting or use of abusive language;
  12. Damaging or breaking any property or assets in the premises of the College;
  13. Performing any act contrary to Law,
  14. Malicious acts, theft, willful damage or misuse of College’s or any third party’s property,
  15. Any conduct which shows disrespect and defiance of rights of other students and staff of hostel,
  16. Unauthorized housing of persons in the hostel or other buildings at the College,
  17. Abuse, unauthorized or fraudulent use of College computers, network systems or computer files,
  18. Any act prohibited and I or not permitted under any civil or criminal law of the state where the College is located,
  19. Unauthorized audio I video recording and taking image of any person belonging to College Community or the Community residing within premises of College without the permission of the individuals being recorded or invading the privacy of the KIMS and local community members,
  20. Behaving in a manner which obstructs, frustrates or disrupts any lecture, class or other instruction, laboratory work, examinations, meeting or other function (including social or sporting activities) authorized by College,
  21. Use I sale I possession I facilitation I distribution of drugs, narcotics, intoxicant etc. on the Campus of College directly or indirectly,
  22. Any involvements in political ethnic, racial and sectarian activities or taking membership of any banned organization and participation in such organization for furthering the cause of a political party.

Students shall follow the dress codes as mentioned or as prescribed from time to time.

  1. Male Students: Dress pant, full sleeve shirt with neck tie in winter or proper decent Shalwar qameez with waist coat. Dress shoes with socks.
  2. Baggy pants, Dirty Jeans. jackets and joggers are not allowed.
  3. Female Students: Proper clothes according to the Islamic Values, Clothes with thin material and/or tight fittings are not allowed. Shoes with small heels. Girls may wear head scarf and Abaya
